At the time of independence, there were 565 states in our country, now they have become 28 states. Many leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabhbhai Patel worked hard to unite all the states, but if they had not united all of them, there would have been wars between those states. The country was divided into many parts, but due to the efforts of the leaders of that time, India is now united. How did they do it Now I will tell you in this video. During the administration, the map used to be like this. They called it British India. They ruled this area in two ways one was the director and the other was the director in that area. The people who were directly ruled by the British authorities were not the kings but in the indirect rule areas there were the Maharajas who ruled their kingdoms. There was no involvement of the British authorities but those Maharajas had to be built every year. Thus the areas under indirect rule were 565 in British India and these were Prince List. Those who are called are the people who rule the areas in yellow color on this map directly by the British the areas in blue color are ruled by the Maharajas they are the people who rule British India in this way but they wanted to give independence to British India in 1947 but then a big problem came I would say that there are two political parties in British India in particular. One was the Congress party and the second was the Muslim party the most important figure in the Congress party was Mahatma Gandhi the most important figure in the Muslim Link Party was actually called as Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
The problem here is that Junnah demanded a separate country for all the Muslim people but Gandhi did not agree to that and he said that the whole country should be one. Many people died in the clashes and Gandhi was shocked to see the loss of travel Jinnah agreed to what was asked then India and Pakistan separated from British India and became separate countries either India or Pakistan merged but what is the situation of princely states with indirect rule what should the ruling maharajas do because so far the maharajas have been ruling their kingdoms by themselves and now they come suddenly you have no power. Agree or disagree that is why the Maharajas all went to the British and asked what is our situation now. At that time Lord Mount Abdham was the Governor General of India. Either merge in Pakistan or merge the second option is to rule your kingdom by yourself without merging with anyone. Maharajas were happy to hear that but Vallabhbhai Patel, Nehru BP Meena did not like the second option. They thought that the Farentan trees would come again and invade India, so they made a plan. Before the planet said one small thing, India has developed a lot since independence and it will develop a lot in the future. Let us go to the main topic. The plans they made had three steps. They will make a good offer to join their capital in India The offer is that if your kingdom is included in India we will give you a good position in the government and we will give you some money every year.
The maharajas will agree to the first offer because they are afraid that the economy of their state will agree. Even then, if any maharaja does not agree, then according to the third step, they will be given a warning that if you do not join your kingdom in India, we will take military action and forcibly join your kingdom in India. This is how Vallabhbhai Patel Nehru VP Menon planned the plan. According to them they first announced an offer or signed an instrument of assistance to annex their kingdom to India either out of patriotism or at the will of the people of their kingdom. The Maharajas of 546 states agreed to join their kingdoms in India but seven states did not agree that is Kashmir Jodhpur Nagar Bhopal Hyderabad Travel Code Of which Kashmir Bhopal Hyderabad Travelkur What did the Maharajas say we will meet in India or Pakistan we will rule our kingdom independently What the Maharaja did was some people from his court Ministers were sent to European countries and discussed with the politicians there and asked them to recognize the travel state as a country. What did Vallabhbhai Patel who was watching all this do is that according to the second step even then he did not agree. He tried to bring imports to his state through airplanes. At that time Goa was being ruled by the Portuguese. When he tried to do so, Vallabhbhai Patel took military action according to the third step. The Indian military entered Hyderabad and took control of the entire state. All of them want to meet in India besides Nizam the people there are already rebelling against him because of the strict laws you have imposed and he did not do any real work or took the offer and merged the state of Hyderabad with India
Kashmir is still not part of India. The real problem is that what the Maharajas of these two states said near the Jodhpur states which are on the border of India and Pakistan either Pakistan or whoever offered a good offer, they gave their kingdom to them. Jinnah offered to merge your kingdoms into Pakistan but because most of the people in those states became Hindus, they all wanted to join India, so Jai Salman did not do what the Maharajas of Jodhpur did or took India’s offer and merged their kingdoms into India. Only remains. The king of Junagat is a Muslim but the people there are mostly Hindus and the king of Kashmir is a Hindu but the people there are mostly Muslims. At first these two kings announced that they will be independent, but the pressure increased from India and Pakistan to join with someone else. India did not put much pressure on him with confidence but Junagaraja thought that if a Muslim joins his kingdom in India then he will have no future and he will not have any powers that is why he showed interest in meeting with Pakistan and consulted with Jinnah. He made an instrument to merge the state because if Vallabhbhai Patel came and asked how to merge a Hindu majority state with Pakistan then what did he want to argue and how to merge Muslim majority Kashmir with India in India argued that no, what else does India mean India said that if we want to let us merge with any country that the people prefer to meet with but Jinnah did not agree to that. He thought that people would somehow vote for India so he ordered that no other and other seeds should go to a kingdom like Jinnah. One thing is that people should become more Hindus.

Many kingdoms tried to meet with us with the decision taken by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, but some kingdoms said that they should live independently and we will join India only if we give them a special place. By doing that and including all of them, our India has grown into a big constitution. Only 16 states are meeting in Pakistan because they do not offer any offers to such people, so they thought that by joining their states in Pakistan, nothing good will happen to them. So even though all of them are united in our state of Andhra which thinks with knowledge, there are some cases where the states also split in our country due to unavoidable reasons. Telangana separated from our Andhra Pradesh and merged with Hyderabad. We should carefully observe and remember that according to the doctrines it is happening
