Tipu Sultan who lost his father went to war with the British for the third time out of revenge and this time the British wisely divided the Marathi kings and these three equally in Hyderabad and then finally in 1799 in the fourth battle of Mysore Tipu Sukh was killed by the British and the whole of Mysore was owned by the British Ranjit Singh and the Nizam of Hyderabad.
