An auto driver from Hyderabad committed suicide in front of the Parliament in 2011 and an 8 page letter was found in his pocket which said that if we protest only these Delhi leaders will not give Telangana that os why I am taking this decision I am dying for Telangana this one incident shook the entire Telangana region. In this video I will tell you what are the reasons for concern in which range. India got independence in 1947. Even after the Britishers left us some places in India were still ruled by kings. If there was democratic rule in other parts then there was kingdom rule in the places ruled by kings like the present Telangana in the areas ruled by kings. The state is also one. At that time Telangana State was called Hyderabad State. This Hyderabad State was ruled by you Rajugaru. At that time this was a request state in the whole of India because this region did not go into the hands of the British. They used to pay taxes to the British for many years and if the Nizam rule came they would rule but the whole was concentrated in one Hyderabad city. All the rest of the state is very backward. As you see he gives most of the jobs in the government to Muslims so people are a little disappointed with him. At the same time he used all the tax revenue from other parts of Hyderabad State to develop Hyderabad City so he was very angry with the people of other parts so people wanted democratic rule. Vallabhbhai Patel brought the Indian Army into action and defeated the Hyderabad State in 1948 which people were happy about.
They thought that their areas would improve from now on. Keeping this story aside for a while, the present states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu were under the Madras Presidency in 1950 but due to some reasons, the states were divided in 1953. All the Tamil population areas in Madras Presidency were combined into Madras State with Madras City as its capital and all the Telugu population areas in Madras Presidency were combined into Andhra State with Kurnool as its capital.
After these two regions were divided like this Madras city which was bringing revenue was merged into Madras state. Now it is not bringing revenue to Andhra state. Kurnool is just a capital in name but the city does not even have the basic eligibility to have a capital. Many states in India are in disarray without capital so in 1953 the states A reorganization committee was formed and the only task of this committee was to give a report on which states should be separated and which states should be united in the country. In 1955 this committee gave a report in which it was written like this about the Telugu states that Hyderabad and Andhra states mostly speak Telugu. It is written that in 1956 when voting was done on the status of Hyderabad most of the MLAs voted to merge the two states together naming it as Andhra Pradesh State and making Hyderabad City as its capital. Very rich because the British looted us but they did a little better in terms of letters. At one time Coastal Andhra was under the British. Because the number of educated people is more profitable
So the people who do business are also more That is why the Andhra region was at the same time Telangana region was not under the British. The truth was it was under the rules. Those who do business with a small number of them are not those who have money but those who are more after the merger of the states, there is more infrastructure in the whole state most of the people live in Hyderabad so all the people who have knowledge in the state came to Hyderabad and started doing business. Those who have more knowledge here are Coastal Andhra people so mostly they are the ones who come and do business and government jobs also go to Andhra people who have more literacy. According to the information in 1960 only 20 percent of the total government employees were from Telangana and the remaining 80% were from Andhra so the people of Telangana were a little underdeveloped compared to the people of Andhra. There is one main reason and that is to violate the gentleman agreement. When the two states met this gentleman agreement was entered into. Some government jobs are reserved for Telangana students, but they also give them to Andhra students. The people of Telangana were very angry in this matter. So the Andhra Pradesh government failed to implement this gentleman agreement so in 1968 a student named Rabindranath started a hunger strike near Khammam railway station many students came on a hunger strike in support of him to follow the gentleman’s agreement to give government jobs to the people of Andhra instead of giving them to them.
Later Diksha turned violent students started damaging the government property so the police shot the students 369 students died in this firing after this atrocity the anxiety became even bigger the anxiety which started to want jobs eventually turned into an anxiety to submit Since the incident, everyone started shouting slogans for Telangana. In 1969, these concerns increased even more. He named Pratap Kumar started a new party called Telangana Praja Samiti. This party was the only one to bring Telangana as a sub-registered state. Initially all students were in this party. Congress faction joined this party and gave support to TPS party politically in 1969 he raised the agitations in 1971 Lok Sabha Elections Telangana Praja Samiti Party won ten MP seats out of 11 MP seats in Telangana. MP did not accept it or lost faith and joined TPS party in Congress. At that time Brahmananda Reddy from Andhra region was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Indira Gandhi made Brahmananda Reddy resign and made PV Narasimha Rao from Telangana region as the chief minister to calm the people of Telangana. This time agitation started in Andhra saying that we are seen as aliens in our own area Jai Andhra Movement was started in 1972 again to quell these protests in 1973 the leaders of both regions made a mutual agreement and brought 6.4 into force in this agreement there are three main points one is to give local importance in government jobs secondly backward reasons all It should be developed equally and no partiality should be shown to any region.
Thirdly more preference should be given to local students in educational institutions. So the agitation was stopped for a few years with the agreement. NT Rama Rao who founded the Telugu Desam Party came following 6.4 rule Until 1997 the Telangana movement was not seen but in 1999 the demand for Telangana as light started. In 2001 the TDP government was in power in Andhra Pradesh. After resigning from Telangana and forming a new party called Telangana Rashtra Samithi some people say that the new party was formed because the post was not given and that is why KCR did not support the Telangana region. Rejected In 2004 TRS party contested with Congress because if it joins with Congress then I comment promised TRS party that they will give Telangana In 2004 Congress came to power in both center and state but Congress did not give Telangana In 2006 TRS party broke away from Congress in 2009 Elections were held but in 2009 Congress too won As long as Rajasekhar Reddy was there KCR remained the same. Once Rajasekhar Reddy died and ladies came to Andhra Pradesh KCR raised concerns for Telangana to be separate. He started a hunger strike therefore on the ninth of December 2009 he promised that the name of the minister would be Telangana. Now many MLAs from Andhra regions protested against the announcement. Due to the opposition in Andhra region the central government withdrew its decision and set up a committee on the issue of separation of Andhra Pradesh. Its name was Srikrishna Committee. In 2011 this committee gave its report. In that report it was written that some areas of Telangana are similar to Andhra areas in terms of development and some other areas. Rayalaseema region is more backward than Andhra. 6 Formula agreement has been voided by some departments because of lock of talent from Telangana. Apart from that Telangana educational institutions are getting less funds compared to Andhra region. So there are two solutions to this problem one is to develop the backward regions immediately. Second if there is no other option, we have to go for the second option otherwise the first option is enough. Srikrishna committee said all these things in their report. After the report agitations started again in Telangana. This time the agitation was on a big scale. In February 2011 Telangana government employees started a non cooperation movement. At the same time Telangana Politicians cut the Assembly and did not allow the Parliament to function properly. In November some protestors damaged 16 statues of artists from Andhra region near Tank Bund.
