It is said that India means Independence before Independence and Indian Economy means PV Narasimha Rao when he became Prime Minister before he became Prime Minister. Why did Narasimha Rao give himself the post of PM Today I am going to tell you about how Narasimha Rao who had zero knowledge of economics, changed the countrys economy. His full name is Pamulaparthi Venkata Narasimha Rao. He was born in the year 1920 in Karimnagar district of Telangana state. Narasimha Rao can speak 15 languages including French, Arabic, German. Spanish language is also there but he mother tongue is Telugu while he was studying in Osmania University he participated well in independence movements so his life became close to politics in 1957 he became MLA for the first time In 1970 the separate Telangana movement was very intense in Andhra Pradesh State at that time Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister. In 1971 AP assembly elections Congress lost in many places in Telangana region because Congress party did not give separate state to Telangana due to separate Telangana movement, in 1971 elections Telangana people voted for Telangana Praja Samiti instead of Congress then Indira Gandhi thought a little and wanted to do anything to pacify Telangana people. The idea that came up was to make someone from the Telangana region as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh At that time PV Narasimha Rao was the Education Minister in AP. So Narasimha Rao somehow belongs to the Telangana region so Indira Gandhi made him the Chief Minister.
After becoming the CM Narasimha Rao brought very good land reforms in all AP. Once some people had more than 500 acres of land all such people took their land and distributed it to the poor put politicians own most of the land, so they were the first to lose this land reference act, so all such politicians were very opposed to Narasimha Rao. President rule was imposed in AP then Narasimha Rao resigned from the post of CM. In 1974 he was the general secretary of the Congress party. In 1975 Indira Gandhi declared emergency in the country and Rao came to know about this. Oddly Rao did not like to post emergency but as he is a good lawyer of Congress party he supported Indira Gandhi even during emergency. In 1977 emergency rule was removed and elections were conducted. Congress party lost badly because of Indira Gandhi. Due to the emergency effect of the impasse many Congress leaders changed the party but Rao remained loyal to the Congress party at that time. In 1977 all the regional parties came together as an alliance and formed the government at the center but in 1980 there was a conflict in this alliance and the government fell then elections were conducted again then Indira Gandhi won with a full majority because this time people thought they did not believe in the constable alliance so at that time they did not see any other option except Indira Gandhi Indira Gandhi PM After all Rao who was loyal to him was given the post of Minister.
But Rao was a little disappointed that he was given the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs which he knew nothing about, instead of giving him the education department that he knew well. Even so Rao has been performing the responsibility given to him correctly with great dedication. In 1982 Rao was very close to Indira Gandhi so close that Indira Gandhi was the first to consult Rao to take any decision. Even at that time Rao was appointed to the post of President. are as In 1984 Indira Gandhi appointed Rao as Home Minister who was very loyal to her. In the same year Indira Gandhi was assassinated so in the Congress party there are all dynasty politics after the death of Indira Gandhi the post of Prime Minister went to her son Rajiv Gandhi. Hindus started killing Sikhs mostly incidents happened in Delhi at that time Delhi Police was under the control of Rao Gari while this incident was happening Rao Gari got a call from PM office. Whatever message you get from Delhi police, send it directly to PM office without your interest, do not take your own decision Rao did as the office said Delhi police are sitting watching Sikhs being killed by Hindus in Delhi, because they did not get an order from PM office to take action because of this 2700 Sikhsh health condition of Home Minister. As it was in the hands of Rao Garu had to take full responsibility for it. Because of that Rao Garu reputation was slightly damaged. Rajiv Gandhi made a blunder mistake that is to interfere in the internal affairs of Sri Lanka, Rao did not like it even if he didn’t like it PMK had to support him.
So Rao supported Raju in the case of Sri Lanka. In 1991 when Rajiv was camping for general elections he was assassinated by Sri Lankan LT Prabhakar Congress won but no Rajiv Gandhi to take office Rajiv Gandhi’s wife Sonia Gandhi had no chance because she was an Italian citizen Only Indian National had a chance to become PM her son However Rahul Gandhi is young so the Congress party is thinking about who to make PM. PV Narasimha Rao has always been in the Congress party even in difficult times he did not leave the party. So Rao has eligibility but Sonia Gandhi has to take the decision here because if the royals of dynasty politics die how will their sons and wives get power and also in the Congress party, Sonia Gandhi did not prefer Rao first. She preferred Shankar Daya Sharma who was the Vice President but Sharma did not agree to that and he refused the offer saying that I cannot do justice to India saying that he will not help me to become the AG PM then PV Narasimha Rao became the Prime Minister of India. But the problems have already started. The countrys economy is in chaos. Due to the high oil prices, inflation has increased. The debt taken from abroad has increased. We have only 15 more days. Narasimha Rao has to face all these problems. Another problem is that he has a minority government with the support of another party. The government is being run, so all the parties should be statised to take this decision. In such a critical situation Rao took a decision and wanted to change the whole rules. For that Manmohan Singh was appointed as the finance minister.
Mohan Singh is a good economist. He previously served as the governor of Arabi. Now Rao is giving Manmohan Singh work ideas. His job is to implement ideas without causing political problems so the job they posted together is to repay debts. For that purpose 47 tons of gold was taken in an airplane and deposited in the Bank of India and the money was paid off. Second Privatization Many government companies were privatized so the government got some money. They also gave a chance to invest some percentage so the government got some form of currency. Rao removed all the restrictions that had to be taken the Indian market was opened to foreign companies and because of that many formative companies came to India, they realized that it was very important, for that they spent a lot of money on road constructions, railways Rao implemented many such reforms, but the Congress lost in the elections held in 1996. After BJP won, PV Narasimha Rao gave interviews and all these reforms were continued by Vajpayee. After 1996 Rao retired from politics actually in 1991 Rao retired from politics but due to the sudden death of Rajiv Rao had to come back into politics. Rao did not listen to Sonia Gandhi and took all the decisions on his own so Sonia Gandhi did not like Rao. In the speeches PMC always praises but the good works done by Rao are not mentioned at all. Vajpayee used to praise Rao and also Rao praised Vajpayee many times. That is why Rao is called a BJP man. Narasimha Rao was the first Prime Minister from South India.
