In the history of India’s independence, his power is one of the grand events. His struggle is a special chapter in the independence movement. He believed that freedom would come only through armed struggle. A warrior revolutionary who laid down his life for that. Viplo Kanika Kshatriya man who pierced the hearts of the British with arrows. He is a hero who fought directly against the British. He is not with anyone. Hundred years ago at the age of 22, the British Empire collided with illiterate, poor, innocent followers with very limited resources. Why is Veeru called Everyone always believes that Alluri is a Bendapudi saint. How much truth is there in it I am going to talk about many such truths. Take some time and show interest. Alluri Sitaramaraju was born on 4th July 1897 in Pandurangi of Visakha district but he grew up in West Godavari district. His father Venkata Ramaraju works as a photographer. Mother Suryanarayanamma Alluru’s family is a normal middle class family. Alluri has a sister named Seethamma and a younger brother named Satyanarayana Raju. Our son in law name is Alluri Sri Ramaraju. Some people say that the name Sita was added and some say that it is not true, because some Telugu people are used to hearing the sound of Rama with Seetamma instead of Rama with a woman so in this state of the nation Sri Rama may have changed to Sitaramaraja. It is not clear which of these two is the real reason and even though Alluri’s mother did not study much she used to stay at home and teach Rama Raja who read Puranas, Epics and Vedas.
As Alluri father was a photographer his family had to travel with him to various places to pursue his profession so Alluri could not have someone to travel to different places so Alluri went to various places for his education including Narasapuram, Raja Mahendravaram, Ramachandravaram, Tuni, Kakinada, which are within Godavari districts. In his childhood everyone called him Chitti Babu but one day when Chittibabu was walking with his father to Godavari embankment a British officer was walking on a horse and everyone was bowing down and waving sticks. After that incident Alluri father used to tell us about the conditions of our country so he learned many things from his father and when Alluri and his family were very happy while this was happening the whole village was infected with calara decease Alluri father unfortunately expired of cholera in 1908 alluri’ family was left with financial problems due to the death of the head of the family. Alluri did not understand what to do. Alluri lost his father at the young age of 11. At that time their son Ramakrishna Raju supported Alluri family financially and alluri Sitaramaraju who was thinking about it could not concentrate on his studies and failed the exam that year. He was not interested in education but with the idea of learning something he learned horse riding in a village called Chinnadu near Narasapuram and in 1911 his younger brother was transferred to rajamundry
So he completed sixth grade there and passed seventh grade in rajamundry in 1912 their younger brother was transferred to Kakinada. Alluri and his family were taken to Kakinada. Alluri was enrolled in the third form of the Pithapuram Raja School in Kakinada. There even though the leading Congress leader was a patriot the two of them read more about the history of those who fought for the country than learning songs together. In 1912 Alluri played two roles as Sasirekha and Naradu in the play Sasirekha Parinayam. While studying in Kakinada there was a fight with the British students. Alluri dropped out of college there and came to Payakaraopet with his family. After that, when Alluri turned 14 Upanayana was performed. Because of this Alluri again joined another missionary school in Visakhapatnam Alluri mother and sister younger brother with me but their grandfather bought someone a pandrangi so Alluri freedom increased as he studied alone in Visakhapatnam. Moreover due to cholera he failed the exams again and next year he joined form 4 in Narasapuram again in tuni joined the 5th form there but because of not studying properly there he stopped studying completely when the school teacher beat him. Vatsavai learned astrology, vastu yoga, poetry from Niladri, learned Sanskrit, Ayurveda, and so on until 1918 when Alluri was 21 years old their family stayed in Tuni.
So Alluri wandered in the forests around the hills and observed how the tribals were living. He saw the sufferings of the poor people and his heart was deeply moved. The boy was old enough to think of doing it Since his childhood Sitaramaraj was endowed with pious leadership qualities and used to worship the Lord every day as well as perform daily penance at the Ramalingeswara Swamy temple on Seethamma Hill in Gopalapatnam near Tuni and also he first visited Baroda, Ujjain, Amritsar, Haridwar, Badrinath and many other places to know the conditions of India After learning many languages, he became a monk and became a yogi. He wrote many books like house doctors. Then after two years in 1918 he went on a journey again and returned to places like Bastar, Nasik, Bombay, Mysore and again reached Krishnadevpet He went to Panjapelli where he met the roots of Gaddar and also went to Bengal and met the revolutionaries there. Alluri Sitaramaraju observed the sufferings of the people in the hands of the white nobles during his two trips to North India.
Slavery moved him and ignited a revolution in him. He believed that life is life for life. After learning revolutionary principles, he came back to Andhra country and stayed in Krishnadevpet for some time. Those who live there eat only fruits and honey the people there believe that Alluri has holy powers and in Manyan the British forced the Christians to convert to the tribals.
The British said that they would give 60 acres of cultivated land to Alluri in order to turn the Alluri to their side but the Alluri did not agree to it and it can be said that the Alluri’s original rebellion started from here and the atrocities of the British gradually increased in this area. He was forbidden to do agriculture or get food to eat and the tribals were starving and the Britishers were exploiting the labor by making the Manyam people innocent and doing many kinds of work and also took away their property from the tribals But in the end even there, if the contractors said to give 6 annals as wages for their work the British soldiers would give only one so the British decided to fight the British against the tribals. Alluri united all the people of Manyam with him and they started a fight with the British one day with weapons like Bhanam Heets. As a part of this plan, on 22 August 1922 in Chintapalli, 23 August in Krishnadevpet, 24 August in Rajuva Mangi 15 August in Addathigala 19 August Rampachodavaram Alluri attacked all the police stations around that area with his army and collected about 44 guns, 5 knives and 4500 bayonets and destroyed the records in the station. Not even a single policeman did any harm and he used to write and sign on a document the number of items taken at any station. So Alluri made the white people restless and sleepless and even the British officers who were sent to oppose Alluri and Alluri tied the tail with his army.
